According to recent updates, Microsoft Corporation, an American Software giant, is planning to integrate Spotify, a Swedish audio streaming and media services provider, as a feature, into its all-new Windows 11.

This week, Panos Panay, Microsoft’s head of Windows, has teased the Focus Sessions Windows 11 feature on Twitter. The integration of both these technologies seems like a new way to focus on work.

Windows 11’s Focus Sessions will include Spotify integration which will allow users to create a focus timer to work while listening to music.

While Microsoft is yet to start testing its Focus Sessions in public builds of Windows 11, but from the teaser video, it appears to be built into the OS’s Clock app.

Windows 11’s Focus Sessions looks quite similar to the Pomodoro Technique, which is a method of managing time by breaking it down into smaller chunks of work with short breaks.

Today, there are a variety of Pomodoro websites and apps that helps users focus on a list of tasks.

Microsoft’s integration with Spotify might be their way of trying to stand out from the crowd.

Besides, this is also the first time that we are seeing some significant Spotify integration in Windows since the Groove Music service retired in 2017.

This is not the first time that both the giants have worked together. Previously, they have joined hands on a Windows 10 app and a separate app for Xbox consoles.
