1) Based on my experience, the CRM system will record all incidents and complaints from the customers. This can provide a valuable information to Quality department to improve their inspection process and also to R&D department to improve the products before their launch in the markets. CRM will for sure support the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management). This can even led to a removal of a product when there are too many incidents.
2) The integration with the ERP/S&OP could be interesting to consider. Whenever there is an incident, it can be good to make a link with the SO (Sales Order) and even with the WO (Work Order) during the manufacturing of the products for a proper traceability.
A part from these 2 comments, I think this article is perfect.
